Power Of Words

The Scary Negative Impact Words Can Have On Your Life And Confidence

Whatever you do… don’t speak negatively about yourself! Words are like SPELLS. The word “Abracadabra” originates from the Arabic meaning of “I will create as I speak.

This is backed by neuroscience… but logically if you think about it – words give power to your thoughts, which impact how you feel, and how you feel dictates the action you take. Therefore how you SPEAK to yourself, is the foundation and a powerful tool that you have access to right now, to transform your whole life. Our brain really does recognize what we are saying and that’s what creates our reality, the actions we take, and how we show up in the world.

Scientific Proof That Words Have Power

For 20 years, Dr Masaru Emoto studied evidence of how the structure of water transforms when it is exposed to different human words and emotions. When the water was exposed to fear and words such as “I hate you” and “You disgust me,” the water became disfigured, but when the words of love and gratitude were exposed to the water, it transformed into a beautiful shape.

Power of Words

You can find more information about the results from his experiment in his book called “The Hidden Messages in Water.”

“By changing your words you can change your world because your word is your world.”

All of the time, we are surrounded by words. Now you are aware, it’s time to start choosing your words and surroundings wisely! What do you want to create in your life?

The Power Of Our Words

Our words really are important and it starts from the little things we tell ourselves. Our brain does not know if we are joking or being serious, it just absorbs everything we tell it. How many times do you find yourself responding with “Oh I’m so stupid, I look horrible, I’m ugly?” Oftentimes, we repeat these enough it becomes our habit and forms a belief, that we really start to believe is true. Now if you see the experiment above and the impact those words have on water, if our body is 70% made up of water can you imagine the reaction these words start to form in our body? The power of words is not new, The Bible and other Ancient Scriptures all tell us that “life and death are in the power of the tongue.”

Words also tell our brain what is important to us. The reticular activating system is the nerves in our brain that filters out unnecessary information to allow us to see and notice the information that is important to us, based on the words we are speaking and focusing on. You convince yourself of something and you tell yourself something your brain starts to look for it. Be intentional with your words, so your brain is looking for the right things.

Feeling Is The Secret

In Neville Goddard’s book Feeling Is The Secret Neville talks about how “A change of feeling is a change of destiny.” This is because everything in our life is based on how we feel. All of the things we want is because of how they will make us feel. Your words give your life FEELING. So by using language like “I can’t” you feel like you are not in control of your life. Use words that EMPOWER you. “I am choosing not to do this.” “I CAN and I WILL.” “I am becoming…” “I GET to do this” instead of “I HAVE to.” “I am HEALING” instead of “I am SICK.”

Pay Attention To What You Feed Your Mind

Health isn’t just about what you are eating and how much you exercise, it’s about what you are thinking and saying too.“If you realised how powerful your words are you’d never say a bad word again.”

Think And Grow Rich

In Think And Grow Rich Napoleon Hill’s book talks about the power of words and how words can change your thought patterns to the extent that you can start to change your whole belief system and how you see the world.

“We must carefully orchestrate our speech if we want to achieve our goals and bring our dreams to fruition.” —Dr. Andrew Newberg

Positive Affirmations

Start implementing positive affirmations into your life. Whenever you find yourself speaking negatively to yourself, remember the impact this can have if you want to create an amazing life. When you say something bad, quickly replace it with a positive affirmation and watch how much happier and confident you will feel! Wake up every day and tell yourself, it is going to be a good day and you can do whatever it is you set out to today. Talk about things you love, talk about how you love who you are becoming, and talk about how much you love your life and what is becoming. Speak a new story.
