Embrace Uncertainty and Stepping into the Unknown: Taking the first step towards what you want, even if you don’t have a plan.
Being apart of creating this commercial for HSBC with such a wonderful inspiring message ‘Supporting Human Ambition‘. With the vision and concept created by Director Mark Middlewick. The whole experience inspired me awakened my spirit and made me feel connected to the Universe.
It inspired me to write about taking risks and the first step even when you don’t have a plan because there is more to life than we even know and it is our purpose in life to discover the message within us that we can bring to the world and have the best experiences we can imagine and deserve.

At the end of the commercial you see the girl, dreaming and deciding whether she should buy the bike, quit her job and go travelling around the world. She’s obviously been thinking about it for a long time and that day she just decides to do it, doesn’t know how or even what the plan is, but she just takes the first step. If you see her journey, there is no way you could have planned or knew what it would be like or what was going to happen. And in fact, it couldn’t be more real. During the whole shoot nobody told me the plan of what was going to happen I was just thrown into the deep end ready to live the experience of the character.
If there is something you really want to do in life but you don’t know how or where to start. Start by taking the first step, whether that means creating a dream board so you can imagine what it is you want, buying a ticket away, or whatever it is. Just take the first step and the rest will fall in place.
The Universe will help you.

Believe in yourself and believe you can have it. Trust the Universe and let go of needing to know how it will happen, trust, believe, receive.
“For anyone who doubts their own ability remember this, before lawyers or doctors became doctors or lawyers, they were students in the same very education system that most of us belonged to. If they can be successful so can we. In fact we can do anything we choose.” – Fran Hewitt
A few years ago, I moved away from home, it was never in my life plan to do this but I wanted to change something so I took the risk and it ended up being the best decision in my life. I didn’t know anyone there and I didn’t have a plan, I just wrote out what I wanted on the plane going there and took small steps each day and see where it lead to. But for me in this situation, it was to make a step or stay the same feeling stuck.
You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction. – John Rohn
Taking Inspired Action
Action is the most important thing, don’t wait for it to happen, create it yourself. Taking the smallest step leads you to the right direction because you are then aligning yourself with whatever it is you want. The universe responds to what you are doing, so once you take one step, more inspired action will come to you.

Dealing with Set Backs
Step backward and step forwards are the same.
Don’t get disheartened by the first step back you experience. Nothing is a failure so never be put off if something doesn’t work the first time. If you have a goal, persist until you get it, that way you will never fail. When I first moved away from home, I dealt with so many step backs and I didn’t even have any proof or evidence to show for what I wanted to do with my life. But I kept on persisting and eventually things start to happen. For example, when I first moved to Dubai, I thought I was moving for an IT job I got there and I ended up working in the restaurant, randomly I don’t know how this happened – and thank god it did. At the time I was so upset, people judged me, customers spoke badly sometimes and I was working 12 hours a day doing something I didn’t like. But because of this situation, after 6 months of persistence and not just quitting and moving home because I felt inspired and had a bigger vision, I found out about an audition for the first ever English TV Series Drama to be produced in Dubai, through one of the customers. If I hadn’t of been put in that situation I would never of heard about this audition. I did audition and got the part and this small thing has had the biggest influence on my choices and decisions over the past 2 years. Trust the journey
