How using Meditation can help control negative and bad emotions and thoughts.
To be able to think clearly and have a positive mindset, your head needs to be clear and organised. Using meditation just by closing your eyes and relaxing can really help to remove negative thoughts and feelings and reprogram your brain.
Benefits of Meditation
Improve your day to day happiness.
Gain control of your thoughts.
Helps you to reach your full potential.
Become mentally strong.
“Meditation is like cleaning your brain”
Your thoughts create your life, so meditation trains your mind to focus, it gets in tune with your thoughts, you become aware of what your thinking and feeling which will help you overcome what ever the issue is.
Whenever you find yourself in a situation that makes you feel bad, or you feel bad about something, turn to meditation, it will not only reduce your stress but will help you think rationally and calm your whole body.
“You can’t always control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude, approach and response.”
How to Meditate
You can turn to meditation at anytime. You can start with 2-5 minutes then once you get used to it 10-30.
Sit or lie down comfortable.
Focus on one thing, a breathe or a thought.
If your mind starts to drift, notice and come back to your focus.
Use this time to just allow yourself to be as you are.
If you don’t want to sit still and meditate you can incorporate it in different ways such as just being present and focusing on the one thing you are doing in your day.
“Do one thing at a time. When you are eating, eat. When you are walking,
walk. When you are bathing, bathe. When you are working, work. When you
are in a group, or a conversation, focus your attention on the very moment you
are in with the other person. When you are thinking, think. When you are
worrying, worry. When you are planning, plan. When you are remembering,
remember. Do each thing with all of your attention.
If other actions, or other thoughts, or strong feelings distract you, let go of
distractions and go back to what you are doing – again, and again, and again.
Concentrate your mind. If you find you are doing two things at once, stop and
go back to one thing at a time.”
Imagine if you give each minute your full presence how amazing your life will be.
Katy Perry says meditation puts her in the best mood, she uses it when she wakes up, props herself up on the bed for 20 minutes, to give her mind a rest.
